Margie Sims. Mom of Ten. - Helping You Prepare Your Kids for Liftoff.

Hello. I'm a lot like you.

Why ten kids? People frequently ask me if I planned it that way.   It wasn't until I was about nine years old that I started feeling that someday I would have a lot of kids.  I grew up the youngest of eight children; that's me between my two brothers-in-law with my broken arm.

Crowds of people--that's all I remember.  When I was in third grade, I went to church with my new best friend at school.  Her daddy was the preacher at the Baptist church down the street and she invited me.  I cannot recall ever going to church before (forgive me, Mama, if I'm wrong).  As far as I remember, the first time I heard the Gospel that day, I committed my life to Christ.  I remember so clearly from that point on, I would regularly tell myself, "When I grow up, I'm going to have a bunch of kids, and we're going to be a Christian family."

God was listening.

Ever wish you had someone to come alongside you?

I am not Super Mom--far from it, in fact. But pick a parenting season and I am most likely in it.  As a mom of 10 kids whose ages span nearly 25 years, I draw from my own journey to offer encouragement through every stage of parenting.

What's more, from Rome, New York, to Naples, Italy, from college girls to grandmothers, I have encouraged women in all seasons of life. I speak, I blog, I embrace my flaws.  And I do my best to find the faith and the funny in life with 10 kids.

"Behold, children are a gift from the Lord. The fruit of the womb is a reward."
                                                    -Psalm 127:3
